New report on Tuberculosis: "Tuberculosis surveillance and monitoring in Europe 2012"

On March 24, 2012, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the World Health Organisation Europe jointly launched a new report on Tuberculosis (TB) in Europe. It shows a mixed picture in the WHO EURO region and a 7% decrease in the EU. On the World TB Day, the ECDC and the WHO launched the 2012 monitoring report on TB, entitled "Tuberculosis surveillance and monitoring in Europe 2012”. Health Ministers call for strengthening vaccination among children

At its Council meeting on 6 June 2011 in Luxembourg, EU Health Ministers exchanged views on the re-emergence of measles in Europe and adopted conclusions on childhood immunisation.
